Sewing Time Fondest Memories!
I'll never forget my first sewing machine. It was a little black Singer, whose only abilities without special attachments were to go forward and reverse. It had a fold-up end which made it easy to store away.
My very first project on it was a full length robe when I was 12. My mother was teaching me how to sew at the time. Somehow we forgot to preshink the fabric (a real issue in those days) so after the first washing, my pride and joy, my "full length" robe now fit my little sister!
My mother use to make our clothes. My fondest memories however are of when she made new Barbie clothes for our dolls. My sister and I began creating clothing for dolls and as we grew we thought we could be fashion designers, imagine that!
Today, what I enjoy most is creating embroidery designs, I do not sew nearly as much as I used to. I hope I can make a difference with this outlet! Keep in touch and see!
Sincerely, Robin Anne
